[Character Chat] Character Chat Guidelines

ZEPETO Character Chat is a space where anyone can create and enjoy imaginative characters. To help maintain a healthy creative environment, please review and follow the guidelines below before creating a character.

Content that violates these guidelines may be deleted or restricted without prior notice.

1. Protection of Intellectual Property and Image Rights

Creating characters that infringe upon the rights of others is strictly prohibited.

Prohibited Actions

• Copying another person's copyrighted work (including characters, images, brands, logos, etc.) without permission from the copyright holder, or using it in a way that infringes upon the rights of the original creator. Citing the source does not exempt you from liability.
• Creating characters based on real people (celebrities, influencers, private individuals, etc.) without authorization.
• Generating or spreading false statements or actions attributed to a real person.
• Using names, appearances, descriptions, or photos that could mislead others into believing a character represents a real person.

Criteria for Secondary Creations (Fan-made Characters)

Fan-made characters based on existing works such as anime, games, webtoons, dramas, or other creative works are permitted only if they meet all of the following conditions. However, they are not allowed if the copyright holder explicitly prohibits derivative works or fan creations.

1. The original creator must not have explicitly prohibited secondary creations.
2. The original source must be clearly indicated in the character's name or description using terms such as "fan-made" or "unofficial."
3. Do not create content that could be mistaken for official content from the original creator or brand.

All prohibited actions listed above apply equally to fan-made characters.

2. Prohibition of Sexually Suggestive Content

Because our service is used by minors, content with strong sexual implications is not permitted, whether in character settings or AI-generated conversations.

Prohibited Actions

• Character settings or dialogue that depict or imply sexually coercive situations, including kidnapping, confinement, or seduction.
• Content that depicts or strongly suggests sexual acts.
• Content that directly addresses adult themes such as pregnancy or sexual intercourse.
• Any content that sexually depicts or suggests minors.

3. Prohibition of Harmful Content

Content that may cause real-world harm is not permitted.

Prohibited Actions

• Content that provides practical instructions for making weapons, explosives, or dangerous drugs.
• Content that encourages, promotes, or glorifies self-harm or suicide.
• Content that incites violence, terrorism, or hatred toward specific individuals or groups.

4. Other Prohibited Actions

• Content that promotes or facilitates illegal activities such as gambling, fraud, or illegal transactions.
• Collecting, sharing, or disclosing other users' personal information.

5. Standards for Character Titles and Descriptions

Character titles and descriptions are displayed on the app's main screen.

• Excessively sensational or provocative titles and descriptions are not allowed.
• Titles and descriptions that reference real people or well-known intellectual property in a way that may cause confusion or mislead users are not allowed.

6. Notice on AI-Generated Content

Dialogue in Character Chat is automatically generated by AI. ZEPETO does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or appropriateness of AI-generated dialogue and is not responsible for responses that deviate from a character's settings. If content that violates these guidelines is generated through a character's settings or dialogue, the character may be subject to restrictions.

7. Reporting and Penalties
