[End of service announcement] The World Editor will be terminated (Mar 06, 24)

Hello. This is the ZEPETO team.

We would like to thank everyone who has used the World Editor over the years, but we're sorry to announce that the World Editor will be shutting down for better service.

  1. As of January 10, 2024, the World Editor will no longer accept new worlds for creation and review.
  2. On March 6, 2024, all services in the World Editor will be unavailable.

 

Service Termination Schedule

1. Service Feature Restriction Date and Time: January 10, 2024 at 12:00 PM (UTC+9)

    • Starting January 10, 2024, you will no longer be able to create new worlds or submit reviews in the World Editor. If you have a world created in the World Editor, you can only unpublish and delete it.

👉🏻 If you have any worlds created with the World Editor, please back them up before March 6, 2024 at 12:00 PM!

Unfortunately, we don't have a backup feature, so you'll need to either screen capture or record your worlds to keep them, or delete them manually. Worlds that are not deleted will have all of their data deleted after March 6, 2024 at 12:00 PM (UTC+9) and will not be recoverable.

Q1. What is the World Editor?

A1. The World Editor is a tool that allows you to quickly and easily create worlds in ZEPETO Studio and was released in June 2023 as a global OBT (Open Beta Test) version.

 

Q2. How long will the World Editor be available?

A2. Until January 10, 2024, you will only be able to use some features of the World Editor (such as unpublishing and deleting created worlds), and after March 6, 2024, you will not be able to access all World Editor services.

Q3. Will I still be able to access the worlds I created with the World Editor when the service ends?

A3. No. You will not be able to access the worlds created with the World Editor after the service ends. The following are representative worlds created with the World Editor.

  • me.world.Modernhighschool 
  • me.world.nickyat
  • me.world.parkourana

 

Q4. I have a world created with the World Editor. What happens to my world?

A4. Worlds created with the World Editor will have their data automatically deleted after March 6, 2024 at 12:00 PM (UTC+9). If you have a world created with the World Editor, please delete it before March 6, 2024 at 12:00 PM (UTC+9) or back it up beforehand!


Unfortunately, we don't have a backup feature, so you'll need to delete your worlds manually or take a screen capture or recording of your worlds to keep them. Thank you for using World Editor, and we look forward to providing you with a better service.

 

How to delete a world:

  1. Log in to ZEPETO Studio with your ZEPETO App ID.
  2. Click My Content - [Worlds].
  3. Click the three lines on the right of the world you want to delete to proceed with [Delete].

Q5. Is there a world creation tool I can use instead of the World Editor?

A5. You can create worlds through build it or Studio - Worlds.
